The ready to press SiC powder for pressless SiC ceramics is a low specific gravity silicon carbide powder from spray granulation technology. Here are some tips RTP SiC powder to stock:
1. The bulk density of RTP SiC powder is low, about 0.85g/cm3. It cannot be heavily pressed during transportation. If the spherical silicon carbide particles are compressed, it will affect the formation of silicon carbide ceramics. Thus, the packaging of silicon carbide granulation powder should be in plastic drums instead of bags.
2. Ready to press SiC powder is granulated by adding a binder, and the decay of the binder will affect the service life of the granulation powder. Therefore, SiC powder has a certain shelf life, usually 3 months.
3. Keep the RTP from moisture circusmtence. That can keep the powder dry from lumping.
